Is Allergy?
Food allergy is defined as an exaggerated response by the immune system
to substances or foods that are usually not harmful. Symptoms of food
allergy will include itching, swelling of the mouth and other body
parts, breathing difficulty, vomiting, drop in blood pressure,
diarrhea, and loss of consciousness. Food allergy can range from mild
to severe and it can even cause death.

Can food allergy be deadly or fatal?
Yes. Food allergy can be fatal in extreme cases. This can cause a reaction called anaphylaxis. The symptoms of anaphylaxis are:
- Difficulty in breathing
- Severe drop in blood pressure
- Skin itchiness, swelling, redness, and burning sensation
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal cramps
- Chest tightness
If a person shows these symptoms, it is best to go to the hospital immediately as it can lead to death
